We Believe In…

The Trinity

We believe in one God who is personal and triune, existing eternal as three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - coeternal in essence and nature, coequal in power and glory, and sharing the same divine attributes.

Jesus

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became fully human without ceasing to be fully God. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, He came to reveal God and redeem sinful humanity. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ secured our redemption through His death on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice. Our justification is assured by His literal and physical resurrection from the dead. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God, where He serves as our High Priest. We believe Jesus is coming again to judge the living and the dead.

The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ through new birth, empowers our discipleship and enables our witness. The Holy Spirit indwells believers, sealing them until the day of redemption.

The Bible

We believe the Holy Scripture of the Old and New Testaments to be the authoritative and inspired written Word of God. The Bible is the final authority for life and faith, is inerrant in its original writings, is infallible and God-breathed.

Salvation

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that through Adam’s sin, the human race fell, inheriting a sinful nature and becoming alienated from God. Humanity is incapable of restoring this broken condition on its own. We believe that salvation is the gift of God given to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ: His death, burial and resurrection. The offering Jesus Christ freely made on the cross was the perfect, sufficient, final and complete sacrifice for the sins of humanity.

Spiritual Gifts

We believe that God is sovereign in the giving of spiritual gifts. Every believer has the privilege and responsibility to develop their God-given gifts and to serve according to the grace and gifts that God has entrusted to them.

The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, a community of all born-again believers united under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We affirm that the establishment and continuation of local churches is clearly taught in the New Testament. We recognize believer’s baptism and the Lord’s supper as scriptural acts of testimony for the Church.
